Kalburabasti Dessert

Ingredients
For the syrup:
- 2.5 cups sugar
- 2.5 cups water
- 1 slice of lemon
For the dough
- OBA Semolina 1 tea glass
- OBA Flour 3 cups
- 300 grams of butter
- 1 tea glass of oil
- 1 tea glass yogurt
- 1 packet of vanilla
- Half a packet of baking powder
- 2 eggs
For the filling:
- 1 cup walnut
- 200 grams of dates
For decoration
- 50 grams of walnut kernels
Preparation:
- For the sherbet, we take the water into the pot and add the lemon slice on it and let it boil.
- After boiling, remove it from the stove and let it cool.
- Take the butter, egg, oil, yogurt and semolina into a deep bowl and mix them and sift the flour into it.
- Add baking powder and vanilla and start kneading.
- After kneading the dough well, let it rest.
- Pick pieces from the rested dough and shape them on a steel or rope griddle.
- Put the date and walnut mixture in the middle of the dough and close it gently.
- Place the shaped desserts on the baking tray.
- Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for about 40 minutes.
- After the desserts are browned, take them out of the oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Pour the cooled syrup over the dessert and wait for the dessert to absorb the syrup.
- You can optionally serve it by decorating it with walnuts.
